Types of services offered: And even more… 1 - Care
The nursing care team provides individualized care to the senior in order to meet his or her specific needs. A nurse, Mrs. Sylvia Smith, offers professional foot care to our residents.
Dr. Sanjiv Anand is attached to the Manoir, comes in once a week and intervenes if a resident’s state of health warrants it. However, residents are free to choose their own attending physician.
We are regular clients of Lawtons Pharmacy, on Elmwood Drive. Mike Trueman is a pharmacist and also the manager. Residents of the Manoir Notre-Dame can benefit from several advantages: Pharmacy nearby
This pharmacy guarantees quality service which is what our clients need. 2 - Meals
Meals are served in the dining room unless the residents’ state of health makes this impossible. We are open to any of the residents’ suggestions regarding the menu and, as much as possible, we will serve their selections. Meal hours are as follows:
For 2nd floor residents:
Special diets are followed. Vegetables are always steam cooked to preserve vitamins as much as possible.
We encourage family members (maximum of 2) to come and eat with their relative for a modest fee. We need to be informed at least 2 hours before the meal. 3 - Housekeeping Conscientious employees do the housekeeping daily on the 1st floor and once a week on the 2nd floor. 4 - Laundry
Residents on the 2nd floor do their own laundry in one of the two laundry rooms. It is also possible to get this service by discussing it with the staff upon admittance. We do not require that the family identifies the resident’s clothing as they are washed separately.
And still more … a – Religious ceremony
The rosary is said daily. Some residents go to church on their own as it is quite near.
b - Hairdresser The hairdresser is on site all day on Mondays and Thursdays.
c - Mail Mail for 1st floor residents is distributed directly to their room on each working day or it is given to the family. Residents from the 2nd floor will be given a postal box key. We will take care of posting residents’ mail. Canadian and American stamps are also sold at the secretary’s office. d – Transportation services A car is available to drive residents to the two Moncton hospitals.
A bus takes residents to the shopping mall (Champlain Place) once a week. e - Visits and outings We strongly encourage residents to maintain ties to family and friends. Visiting is permitted every day and residents are free to go out. We simply ask that you inform us when you are going out and with whom.
